Smaller models. Bigger reach.
Anthropic released a new version of its small model, Haiku 4.5. The claim is that it performs on par with Sonnet 4, which was the latest and greatest just a few months ago.
Progress comes from refinement. Now, smaller models are doing more with less. It's the closest thing this field has to Moore's Law: Capability rising as cost falls.
As efficiency improves, reach broadens.
Teams can plug these models into tools and workflows without the cost or infrastructure that once limited experimentation. Adoption and scale come with affordability and reach.
