Coinbase offers Wallet-as-a-Service, an API that lets companies embed crypto wallets without managing seed phrases.

It's a custodial framework inside Coinbase's infrastructure, aimed at fintech and consumer apps that want crypto features with centralized control.

SciPHR takes a different approach. Keys never leave the user, and secrets are encrypted on-chain and derived in memory only when needed.

By design, SciPHR is non-custodial. The wallet, the credential, and the verification all live on-chain.

Both solve the same pain point: Simplify identity and key management. One relies on institutional custody, and the other on cryptography.
